Honoring the Life and Legacy of Dr. Rod Paige

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Rodrick (Rod) Paige, the namesake of Rodrick Paige Elementary School and a true giant in the field of education. His passing represents not only a profound loss to our school family, but also to our community, our district, and to education as a whole.

Dr. Paige was a trailblazer, an advocate, and a transformational leader whose impact reached far beyond the walls of any one school or district. His unwavering commitment to equity, opportunity, and excellence opened doors for generations of students and educators across this nation. His work shaped lives, strengthened communities, and changed the future of education forever.

At Rodrick Paige Elementary, Dr. Paige’s legacy is deeply personal. Some of the very teachers who now serve our students were once touched by his leadership and vision. As the current building principal, I can personally attest that I, too, am a direct product of the doors Dr. Paige helped open. His influence lives on through the educators who teach here, the students who learn here, and the legacy of greatness that defines our campus.

Though Dr. Paige is no longer with us physically, his legacy is alive and thriving within these walls. We are committed to honoring his life’s work by continuing to serve our students with excellence, integrity, and a deep belief in their potential. Rodrick Paige Elementary will always stand as a living tribute to his vision, his impact, and his enduring commitment to education.
